This is the first club that my daughter is happy to attend and doesn’t want to leave! There is clearly a warmth, energy and enthusiasm from the team and a real commitment to helping children learn without even realising they’re learning! Thank you!
The sessions are well organised, entertaining and catering to all age groups. No pressure environment, allowing children to join in as they please. The food/snacks were nutritious. The smoothie making very popular. The environment, staff & volunteers are very welcoming, friendly, organised and ensure safety rules are adhered to.
I’ve had a blow by blow account from early riser L of all the fun activities she did yesterday at Nourished Routes as well as how to make hummus and jam! It sounds like it was a huge success. Thanks very much to you and your team for putting on such a good day, I know E and S had a great time too.
I have seen a huge change since enjoying the weekly after school clubs with my son. He asks me if his food and snacks are healthy and wants to discuss his feelings. It amazes me how much it's had an impact on his thought processes. Why force feed them vegetables ,when you can get them to enjoy it.Thank you so much Helen!
Honestly, Nourished Routes is a total breath of fresh air. Helen is fantastic, she is so informative, welcoming and her ethos aligns perfectly with my own. Nutrition is such an instrumental part of health and well being and I've yet to come across a charity such as this who is actively implementing health and well being but in a child friendly and exciting way.
An excellent initiative and nothing else like it that I have ever seen. Kids were really interested in all the healthy eating and nutrition and a lovely combination of activities in a safe and inclusive space. My kids aged 4 really enjoyed learning about nutrition, art time, story time and exercise.
Excellent mix of structured activities and free play. My 4 year old son particularly liked the cooking demos and still now talks about how we need food for energy and how different types of food help our bodies. He also really enjoyed the singing/dancing.
A really good, fun way of getting kids aware of healthy living. Not too serious, but my 4 year old has already picked up healthy eating habits and showing interest in being healthy.
A great safe space for young children to have free play as well as lessons on healthy eating!
