Helen’s love of food began early. As a child, she devoured cookery books the way others read novels, captivated by the stories, science, and creativity woven into every recipe.
After more than 15 years working in administrative roles, Helen chose to follow that lifelong passion and retrain professionally. She completed a Culinary Arts Management degree, gaining formal culinary expertise alongside a strong grounding in nutrition and business management. This blend of practical skill and strategic understanding now underpins her work in creating meaningful, nourishing food experiences for children, families, and communities.
For Helen, food is never just about what’s on the plate. It’s about connection, care, and belonging.
“If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with them… the people who give you their food give you their heart.”
Cesar Chavez
